Omiya, Saitama
Omiya station is served by the Tohoku, Joetsu, Hokuriku and other shinkansen, and by the Keihin-Tohoku, Utsunomiya, Takasaki, Saikyo, Kawagoe, Shonan-Shinjuku and Ueno-Tokyo lines. The Tobu Urban Park Line (Noda Line) and the New Shuttle also stop here, with direct trains toward Tokyo, Shinjuku and Shibuya.
Omiya-ku is home to Hikawa Shrine (Musashi Ichinomiya Hikawa Jinja) and Omiya Park beside it. The Railway Museum is near Tetsudo-Hakubutsukan station on the New Shuttle.
